MDHS must receive referrals
from health and social care professionals.
Our Mission
- MDHS are responsible for visiting clients to assess needs and then
recruiting and supervising helpers. This service is funded by Surrey County
Council and North Surrey PCT. Clients pay helpers directly based on a
recommended rate. Some funds are available for those in financial
difficulties but this is targeted to those with the greater need.
What we Do?
-
MDHS arrange a variety of services to help people
over the age of 18 who, because of age,
sickness or disability, cannot easily make such arrangements for
themselves.
-
When a client is first referred, MDHS recruits
and allocates self employed helpers after all necessary checks are in
place. The arrangements will then be monitored by quality
control check periodically. A complaints and compliments procedure is also in place.
-
MDHS has over 100 self-employed helpers providing a service to approximately
600
clients.
